No moseying today: rain, strong winds, 25 degrees below normal temps. I want spring, dammit! May is the most active month hereabouts for severe weather and tornadoes, and I'd rather put up with tornadoes than chilly, rainy suckage. Merde. Excrément de mauvaise qualité, in fact. Recently a group of turkey vultures has been hanging around my neighborhood. One day last week they were flying so low that I could see their stunningly handsome red faces and individual flight feathers on their wings. Fortunately they weren't upset by the human staring up at them. Could have been bad since they express their alarm by regurgitating or defecating. If their meals are awful going down, they're even more memorable on the return trip, and I don't want to be anywhere in the vicinity. The Cockatiel has been a cranky pants of late since she's moulting and she doesn't like gloomy weather at the best of times. I'm cheering up the both of us by playing YouTube videos of blathering parrots. Possibly I may go back to my holiday music stream - if Mother Nature is going to be an idiot, I may as well be one as well. Comments are closed.
