Sunny, low 50s, light winds. A couple black vultures circling overhead but apparently not spotting anything.
The arborvitae out front are sporting a few small white blossoms, apparently deposited by yesterday's high winds. A nearby business has new, fragrant black mulch - love that smell, and yes I know it's a minority opinion. The Korean spice viburnum bushes hereabouts are getting ready to leaf out. When the mulch and the leaves sprout, the varmints can't be far behind. The March 24 tornado that hit Rolling Fork, Mississippi is now rated as a high end EF-4, with winds of 190 mph. The 3-day forecast is predicting "enhanced risk" for severe weather for this coming Tuesday in areas that were hard hit by the Friday tornado outbreak. This last bit prompted a well-known storm chaser to post on Twitter: "I am officially retiring from covering weather on YouTube and now doing sports only." Go, Mother Nature! Easter is next Sunday, so you still have time to cook up a snowstorm. Comments are closed.
